This season, Jones is averaging 3 points, 1.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game for the Magic as his role was scaled back from his starting gig in 2024-25.
Charlotte has been busy at the trade deadline, reportedly adding the Chicago Bulls’ Coby White and Mike Conley Jr. in a separate trade. The Hornets also added forward Ousmane Dieng from the Oklahoma City Thunder for center Mason Plumlee.
Jones is likely to slot into that crowded backcourt and find minutes behind those three players, as well as star LaMelo Ball and standout rookie Kon Knueppel.
