The Milwaukee Bucks outlasted the New Orleans Pelicans 141-137 in overtime on Wednesday night, holding their nerve in a high-scoring contest.

Ryan Rollins led the way with 27 points, as six Milwaukee players scored in double figures. Rollins and Myles Turner set the tone in overtime with a driving basket and a timely three-pointer that helped the Bucks pull away.

Balanced Milwaukee Offense Proves Decisive

AJ Green added 20 points for Milwaukee, while Kevin Porter Jr. finished with 18. Amir Coffey, Pete Nance, and Myles Turner each scored 16 points, and Gary Trent Jr. chipped in 13.

The Bucks’ depth ultimately proved decisive, especially during the extra session, where they made just enough plays to secure the win.

Trey Murphy III Makes History For Pelicans

New Orleans was led by a sensational performance from Trey Murphy III, who erupted for a career-high 44 points. He also set a franchise record with 12 three-pointers on 18 attempts.

Saddiq Bey scored 22 points, Zion Williamson added 20, and Jeremiah Fears contributed 13. The Pelicans relied heavily on perimeter shooting to stay competitive throughout the night.

“I was just in a rhythm and my teammates kept finding me,” Murphy said.

Pelicans Control Early Before Late Collapse

The Pelicans controlled much of the first half, leading by as many as nine points and taking a 70-63 advantage into halftime behind Murphy’s hot shooting and a strong second quarter from Bey. They again built a nine-point cushion in the third quarter.

Milwaukee finally claimed its first lead early in the fourth quarter, with Rollins scoring the first eight points of the period. The surge pushed the Bucks ahead by as many as 13 points.

Overtime Seals Bucks Victory

New Orleans rallied late, tying the game at 121, then again at 126 and 128 to force overtime. In the extra session, Milwaukee executed just well enough down the stretch to close out the game and escape with the win.
