The Sixers announced a non-trade transaction in the final hour before Thursday afternoon’s deadline.
The team has signed 25-year-old center Charles Bassey to a second 10-day contract.
Bassey didn’t play for the Sixers during his first 10-day deal. He made two G League appearances with the Delaware Blue Coats and was very productive, posting 24 points and 19 rebounds in the first game, 20 points and 14 boards in the second.
The Sixers are also adding Patrick Baldwin Jr. on a 10-day contract, PhillyVoice’s Adam Aaronson reported.
Baldwin signed a 10-day deal with the Clippers in January. The 23-year-old forward has played 95 times in the NBA since the Warriors selected him with the 28th overall pick in the 2022 draft. Baldwin’s only averaged 8.8 minutes in the NBA and posted 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest. He’s tallied 21.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this season for the San Diego Clippers in the G League.
As of late Thursday afternoon, both Dominick Barlow and Jabari Walker remained on two-way deals. Regardless of the Sixers’ ultimate decisions on Barlow and Walker, it certainly appears the team will be in the buyout market mix. The Sixers freed up roster spots by dealing away Jared McCain and Eric Gordon at the deadline.
Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey has made in-season standard contract signings every previous season he’s been in Philadelphia. Here’s the complete list so far:
Anthony Tolliver (initially on a 10-day contract)
DeAndre Jordan
Dewayne Dedmon
Kyle Lowry
Lonnie Walker IV
