Denver Nuggets forward Peyton Watson has suffered a grade 2 left hamstring strain and is expected to miss extended time, league sources confirmed to The Athletic.

Watson suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of Denver’s 134-127 loss to the New York Knicks on Wednesday night. Watson finished with 10 points and five rebounds before exiting with 8:30 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Watson’s injury adds to the Nuggets’ misfortunes, as he had been a breakout star for the team.
