Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves will look to build momentum tonight when they host the New Orleans Pelicans at Target Center, riding high after a thrilling 128-126 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.

The Wolves enter the contest sitting in fifth place in the Western Conference with a 32-20 record, and they’ll do so with a newly reinforced roster following yesterday’s trade acquisition of Chicago Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu.

Minnesota sent Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller, and four second-round draft picks to Chicago in exchange for the versatile guard, who has been a key contributor for the Bulls this season. Dosunmu, known as a reliable three-and-D player, is averaging 15 points per game while shooting an impressive 45 percent from beyond the arc.

The addition of Dosunmu strengthens the Timberwolves’ bench depth as they push toward the playoffs, giving head coach Chris Finch another proven scoring option and perimeter defender to deploy in crucial situations.

Tonight’s game against New Orleans tips off at 7:00 p.m. at Target Center.
