Timberwolves Notes
Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves tonight with a game-high 35 points on 11-of-22 shooting, including 5-of-9 from deep, five rebounds and a game-high-tying two blocks, marking his 12th 35+ point/5+ rebound showing of the year (45th career) and his 15th 35+ point game of the season (58th career), the second-most such games in the NBA this season (Luka Dončić: 19 games). Tonight also marks Edwards’ first game this season with 35+ points, five or more rebounds and multiple blocks (sixth career), and his first since doing so on Jan. 30, 2025 in Utah.
• With his 11-of-22 (50.0%) shooting performance, Edwards has now shot 50.0% or better on 20+ attempts 15 times this season (81st career), the third-most occurrences in the NBA this year. He holds the second-most such career games in Timberwolves history, with only Kevin Garnett (101 games) ahead of him.
• Edwards has scored 30+ points in four straight games, tied for the longest active streak in the NBA (Cooper Flagg). This stretch is the fourth four-game 30+ point run of his career and he is the only player in Timberwolves history to record multiple qualifying streaks of at least four contests.
• Rudy Gobert finished tonight’s matchup with 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting, a game-high 16 rebounds, a game-high-tying and season-best three steals, and a game-high-tying two blocks. This performance marks his 24th double-double of the season (500th career) and his 10th 15+ rebound performance of the year (240th career), the second-highest total in the NBA this season.
• With 10:22 remaining in the second quarter, Gobert hit his third field goal of the night, bringing his career scoring total to 11,000 points (currently: 11,006 points). He is just the ninth active center to reach the 11,000-point milestone.
• As Gobert racked up his 500th career double-double tonight, he is the 34th player in NBA history to reach that mark and is just the sixth active player to do so. Since joining the Timberwolves ahead of the 2022-23 season, Gobert has logged 149 double-doubles, the fourth-most in franchise history.
