Miami Heat high-flyer Keshad Johnson will be participating in the 2026 NBA Dunk Contest, the league announced. The All-Star weekend festivity is expected to be on Saturday, Feb. 14, inside the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.

The other participants will be San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant, Orlando Magic rookie Jase Richardson (the son of Jason, a two-time dunk contest champion) and Los Angeles Lakers big Jaxson Hayes.
Johnson, 24, is averaging 3.1 points and 1.9 rebounds on 40.4 percent shooting and 51.2 percent true shooting this season. He’s only appeared in 21 of the team’s 53 games, totaling 159 minutes.
Listed at 6-foot-6, 225 pounds, Johnson was one of the most athletic players in the 2024 NBA Draft class, especially in the open court, earning the nickname “Showtime.” Let’s hope he’s able to put on a show in the contest itself, which has been a laughingstock for much of the last decade.
Johnson will be the third Heat participant in All-Star Weekend. Heat guard Norman Powell became an All-Star reserve, while second-year Heat big Kel’el Ware became a Rising Star.
