As you build your fantasy basketball lineups for tonight’s DraftKings contests, check out Zach Thompson’s top three NBA DFS stacks to target.

The NBA has some great games spread throughout the day this Saturday, with five games on the main DFS fantasy basketball slate that tips off on DraftKings at 7:00 p.m. EST. None of the 10 teams on the main slate are playing for the second day in a row, which should help eliminate any rest issues, especially with the All-Star break coming soon. From the 10 teams in the player pool, three options stand out as great places to start your lineup with multiple players from the same squad. The NBA DFS stacks highlighted in this post are top options due to matchups and opportunities, and they can serve as the core of your DFS lineup this evening.

Even without back-to-back games, be sure to check out the daily injury report, where you can keep track of who is in and who is out for this slate. Many significant names are already ruled out or are questionable, which can open up value from the rest of the team’s roster while filling in. Be sure to check the latest injury news before tip-off and adjust your lineup if needed.

Charlotte Hornets at Atlanta Hawks

The Hornets are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now as they head to Atlanta to take on the Hawks, who rank second in the NBA in pace and rank in the top 10 in most points allowed per game this season. It should be a great “pace-up” spot for the Hornets, meaning they should get more possessions than they typically due, resulting in players having a better chance to go over their average production.

Charlotte is the only 9-1 team in the NBA over the last 10 games and is scoring 112.7 points per game over that stretch. The Hornets acquired Coby White from the Bulls in a nice addition at the trade deadline, but White is out for this contest with a calf issue, leaving everyone else carrying a little extra work after Collin Sexton was traded away.

Core Plays: While LaMelo Ball ($7,700) always has a high ceiling and comes at a decent salary here under $8,000, Brandon Miller ($7,200) is in an even better matchup and comes a litle cheaper. Miller was limited to only 21 minutes in Charlotte’s win on Thursday due to foul trouble, but he should be fresh and ready to go as a result this Saturday. He had at least 31 fantasy points in 11 straight games before only managing 21.75 on Thursday and should be set for a bounce back. He has a high ceiling as well, which he showed by posting over 43 fantasy points in three of his last seven games.

Rookie Kon Knueppel ($6,400) is also in a great matchup on the wing and has chipped in at least 28 fantasy points in eight of his last nine. He had a ceiling game with 49.5 fantasy points against the Mavericks during that stretch and is averaging 22 points per game over his last four contests.

Value Options: Without Sexton, Tre Mann ($3,700) could get some extra minutes and has proven he can be a microwave scorer off the bench. Sion James ($3,400) will also likely get some extra work in the second unit without Sexton. In the frontcourt, Miles Bridges ($5,900) and Moussa Diabate ($5,300) both stand out as great plays under $6,000 in this matchup and have shown very high multi-category ceilings. If Onyeka Okongwu (dental, questionable) is out, they should feast on the Hawks’ front line.

Denver Nuggets at Chicago Bulls

The Nuggets have dropped three straight games coming into this get-right spot against the Bulls, and they have the second-highest implied team total on the board. The big question mark in this matchup is the availability of Nikola Jokic, who is questionable with an ankle sprain. If he sits out, there would be even more usage for the Nuggets in what should be a very favorable matchup against the Bulls, who are still coming together after overhauling the roster at the trade deadline.

The Nuggets won’t have Aaron Gordon, Peyton Watson or Spencer Jones, but they upgraded Cameron Johnson to questionable, and the forward could return for the first time since just before Christmas.

Core Plays: If Nikola Jokic ($11,800) plays, he’s obviously going to bring a massively high ceiling against the rebuilding Bulls. He had 67.5 fantasy points and a triple-double against the Knicks on the second night of a back-to-back, so his ramp-up is apparently no longer an issue. Jamal Murray ($9,000) should be in a great spot with or without Jokic. He had 39 points and 55.75 fantasy point sagainst the Knicks and has at least 41 fantasy points in eight straight, averaging 46.9 fantasy points per game over that span. The Bulls’ backcourt should be a great matchup for him to post a big total, either alongside or in place of Jokic.

Value Options: While I wouldn’t pay for Johnson in his return, Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,300) has been playing more minutes lately and has been boom-or-bust with at least 25 fantasy points in five of his last seven games, including a 43-fantasy-point outburst against the Nets. If Jokic is out, Jonas Valanciunas ($4,900) woulc be a great play, while Julian Strawther ($3,700) is a wing value with good upside if Johnson is out once again.

Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers and Warriors meet on Saturday night in L.A., but the matchup won’t be as star-studded as the NBA hoped. With both Luka Doncic and Steph Curry missing the game, there should be replacement options with good upside on both sides. Since LeBron James ($8,700) and Austin Reaves ($7,900) will likely take care of most of the work on the Lakers side, the Warriors actually make a better stack, especially since their trade deadline addition Kristaps Porzingis is still out along with Steph.

Brandin Podziemski ($6,200) played just 12 minutes while playing through an illness on Thursday, and he’s probable for Saturday’s game, although he may not be 100%.

Core Plays: Aside from Podz, Steph and Porzingis, the entire Warriors roster is under $6,000, making them a great value stack. De’Anthony Melton ($5,700) has scored double-digit points in six straight games and had 32.2, 27.5 and 27.0 fantasy points in his last three games. The other key contributor lately has been Gui Santos ($4,900), who has at least 25 fantasy points in five straight games and had a huge game with 18 points, four boards, seven assists, one block and one steal in 36 minutes on Thursday against the Suns.

Value Options: Patrick Spencer ($4,800) has also been playing well, and he’ll be available for the rest of the season after the team converted his contract from a two-way deal to a standard contract on Saturday morning. He had 38.4 fantasy points with 20 points on Thursday and should be a key contributor for as long as Steph is out. Al Horford ($4,900), Will Richard ($3,700) and even Gary Payton II ($3,500) can round out the stack since all have been more involved lately as well.
