Devin Booker #1 of the Phoenix Suns looks to drive against the Atlanta Hawks during the second quarter at State Farm Arena on January 23, 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Five-time NBA All-Star Devin Booker received a total payout of $1.8M for placing a $1M bet on the Seattle Seahawks to win Super Bowl LX.
The Phoenix Suns guard wrote “Broke the Kurse” on social media while reacting to Seattle’s win, a reference to his ex-girlfriend Kendall Jenner openly embracing the “Kardashian Curse” in a recent commercial. Jenner had bet $1M on the New England Patriots, and would have received a payout of $2.9M if the result had gone in her favor.
Devin Booker Trolls Kendall Jenner
Booker had earlier trolled Jenner after Fanatics sportsbook commercial, “Bet on Kendall,” poked fun at him and all her ex-boyfriends from the NBA.
“I bet a million the Seahawks get a ring before you do @kendalljenner,” wrote Booker.
In response, Jenner asked Booker about his ankle injury, which resulted in his seven-game absence between Jan. 23 and Dec. 7.
Devin Booker Injury Return
Booker returned to the Suns lineup in Saturday’s 109-103 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. He finished with 21 points and nine assists, with a plus/minus of +10. After his return, Booker said he wasn’t as rusty as he imagined to be after a seven-game absence. Booker urged his teammates to reach the All-Star break with some wins under their belt.
“This is an important stretch right before the break where I feel like we need to capitalize,” Booker said, via Arizona Sports.
The loss to the Sixers was marred by a fiery exchange between Booker and Joel Embiid in the second quarter, when the Sixers got to the foul line 11 times in the final 4:30 of the half. Both players were hit with double technicals going into the break. After the loss, Booker explained what transpired between him and the former MVP.
“ I told him he’s too good of a player to be flopping like that,” Booker said. “We had Olympic experience together, he’s somebody I have high respect for. Just competition.”
“ I asked the ref, ‘What’d I say?’ He said, ‘I don’t know what you said. I just saw you guys talking to each other,’” Booker said. “It’s crazy out here.”
Suns’ best defensive player, Dillon Brooks, also called out Embiid’s flopping.
“ I can guard the flopping and all that,” Brooks said of Embiid. “Went to the line about 14 times. It’s a lot, especially for stuff that’s not even shooting fouls. It’s a great crew of refs that were reffing the game for Philly tonight.”
Booker and the Suns (31-22) will host Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks (19-33) on Tuesday night in the penultimate game before the All-Star break. They will face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday in a back-to-back. While Booker will be the only All-Star representing Phoenix, many analysts felt Dillon Brooks earned himself a first-time nod this season as one of the best two-way players in the league.
