Alex Hunter details his best NBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Monday’s game between the Hornets and the Pistons.
The Hornets are hosting the Pistons on Monday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Detroit is favored by 2.5 points and this game carries a total of 222.5 points.
Let’s dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Monday’s matchup between the Hornets and the Pistons.
Best Hornets vs. Pistons Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
LaMelo Ball 2+ Points in first three minutes (-108)
While the Pistons are a tough matchup, ranking second in defensive rating this season, Ball, per usual, should get himself on the board quickly tonight. In the Hornets’ first matchup of the season with Detroit back in December, Ball hit a pair of three-pointers in the opening three minutes of that tilt.
Charlotte is the hottest team in the NBA, riding a nine-game wining streak during which Ball has scored in the first three minutes of six victories. In the first three minutes of games this season, Ball is leading the Hornets with 2.2 PPG and a 30.2% usage rate.
Brandon Miller O 4.5 Rebounds (-132)
The Hornets lead the NBA in rebound rate in 2026 and Miller has been a big factor over this sample, averaging 5.4 rebounds per game. During this stretch, the wing has grabbed at least five rebounds in 11 of his 19 games and is averaging 9.7 rebound chances in 30.1 minutes per game.
Both Charlotte and Detroit rank top-five in defensive rating in the new year, so there should be plenty of rebounds up for grabs in this matchup. Miller is a strong bet for over 4.5 boards in this spot.
Duncan Robinson U 11.5 Points (-119)
Robinson has been a volatile scorer recently, scoring single digits in five of his last 10 games. This matchup with the Hornets doesn’t suit his game. 74% of Robinson’s points this season have come via three-pointers, but Charlotte has been terrific at defending the perimeter in the new year, limiting its opponents to the third-lowest three-point percentage in the NBA (33.7%).
The Hornets’ strong collection of wings should bother Robinson and he should have a quiet outing on Monday.
