ST. CLOUD — The St. Cloud State men’s basketball team won its 12th straight game with a convincing 102-65 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win over the University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) on Saturday, Feb. 7.

The winning streak is the Huskies’ longest since winning 13 in a row during the 2002-03 season. St. Cloud State is also 12-0 at Halenbeck Hall this season. That’s the longest unbeaten streak at home since the 1987-88 season when SCSU started 13-0 at Halenbeck.

Kynan Philippe’s double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds paced the Huskies (16-2 NSIC, 19-5 overall) while Wyatt Hawks added 20 points and five rebounds and St. Cloud Apollo grad Azayah Washington chipped in 17 points and a career-best five assists. It was Washington’s third time scoring 17 or more points this season.

clinched a top four seed in the NSIC standings and received an automatic bye to the Sanford Pentagon for the NSIC Tournament in Sioux Falls, S.D. The conference tournament begins on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

The Huskies are at Wayne State (Neb.) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12.

COLLEGEVILLE — Peyton Podany’s 20 points, his fifth 20-point game of the season, lifted the Johnnies to the MIAC win on Saturday at Sexton Arena.

(8-5 MIAC, 12-10 overall) also got a career-best 17 points from Vincent Hillesheim. St. John’s shot 45.6% from the field, 8-of-34 from three-point range and 11-of-14 from the free-throw line.

The Johnnies travel to face Macalester (7-15, 2-11 MIAC) for a 7 p.m. tip-off on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Leonard Center in St. Paul.

St. Benedict 65, Carleton 61

ST. JOSEPH — Lauren Arnold finished with 15 points, including hitting a pair of clutch free throws in the waning seconds, to lift the Bennies to an MIAC win over the Knights on Saturday at Claire Lynch Hall.

improved to 13-8 overall and 8-6 in MIAC play. Carleton’s Addy Huss poured in 30 points for the Knights.

Drew Buslee added 12 points and three steals for CSB, Megan Driste (a Sartell native) chipped in 12 points (highlighted by four threes) and Kira Young contributed 11 points and a game-high nine boards.

The Bennies play host to Macalester at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

ST. CLOUD — The Huskies won their third straight game behind 27 points from senior Jada Eggebrecht on Senior Day at Halenbeck Hall.

Eggebrecht shot 9-of-14 from the field and 6-of-7 from three-point range. Ashley Sawicki and Abigail O’Reilly both added 10 points for the Huskies (8-10 NSIC, 11-12 overall), who travel to take on Wayne State (Neb.) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
