The February 5 trade deadline passed, and star big man Domantas Sabonis remains a member of the Sacramento Kings. While his name was constantly mentioned in trade talks, the Kings shifted their stance about trading Sabonis leading up to the deadline.

A number of factors have played a role in their decision. First, the Kings did not like the offer from other teams. For a prized big man like him, of course, they tried to sell him high on the market. Second, other franchises are wary about the contract situation of the Lithuanian star. He has an annual salary of around $46.5 million and is set to take home $48.6 million in 2027-2028.

But it’s too hard to pass up for a big man like Sabonis. And he’ll have suitors this offseason. The three teams mentioned most are the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Clippers.
