Ryan Wohl details his preview and prediction for tonight’s Pacers vs. Knicks game.
The 34-19 New York Knicks host the Indiana Pacers, who are last in the Eastern Conference, tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Knicks are 9-1 in their previous 10 games, while the Pacers are 3-7 in that span. The Knicks are 3-2 in their previous five contests against the Pacers at Madison Square Garden.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Knicks are -11.5 on the spread while the game’s over/under is set at 224.5 points. Check out my best bet and preview for tonight’s Pacers-Knicks matchup below.
Pacers vs. Knicks preview, prediction
The Knicks have had their ups and downs throughout the season, but are in a good position to increase their winning streak against the Pacers. They lost to the Detroit Pistons 118-80, but were without Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby. With KAT back, New York beat the Celtics by 22 points on Sunday.
Jalen Brunson is averaging 27.1 points per contest (10th in the NBA) this season. After a few down performances, Brunson has scored 31 and 42 points in two of his last three games. At the NBA trade deadline, the Knicks acquired Jose Alvarado, and he immediately made an impact in his first game with the team. Alvarado totaled 12 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals against the Celtics. Towns has been a double-double machine this season, averaging 19.7 points and 11.9 boards per contest. He has also had a double-double in his last five games.
After making the NBA Finals last season, the Pacers have struggled mightily without their star PG, Tyrese Haliburton. In tonight’s contest, the Pacers will also be without Ivica Zubac, while Aaron Nesmith, Micah Potter, and T.J. McConnell are questionable. Pascal Siakam and Andrew Nembhard have been productive this season, but Indiana has lacked the necessary depth to keep up with elite teams.
As their records state, this game is a mismatch. The Pacers allow 118.5 points per game, the sixth-most in the NBA, which is nearly seven more than the Knicks allow. Also, on offense, the Knicks score the third-most points at 117.3, 6.7 more than the Pacers. The Pacers lack the offensive firepower to keep up with the Knicks.
Pacers vs. Knicks, best bet
The Knicks beat the Pacers 114-113 in their first meeting of the season on December 18, 2025. This season, the Pacers are 3-22 on the road and are 1-4 in their last five games away from home. The Knicks are 21-6 this season on their home floor of Madison Square Garden, which is the second-best record at home in the NBA. This season, 20 of the Pacers 40 losses have come by at least 12 points. The Knicks have won nine of their last 10 games, with seven of them coming by 12-plus points.
Best bet: New York Knicks -11.5 (-112)
