To me, one of the best parts of hockey is when players drop their gloves and square off.

Both players trade incredible haymakers back and forth until one of them falls or the referees step in to break things up.
On Monday night, a fight broke out involving a Detroit sports team, but it wasn’t the Red Wings—it was the Pistons.
If you’re thinking to yourself, “I didn’t know they fought in basketball?!” you’re right—fighting is absolutely not allowed, but that didn’t stop it from happening.
Pistons and Hornets On-Court Fight
During the third quarter of Monday night’s game between the Detroit Pistons and the Charlotte Hornets, a fight broke out.
Midway through the third quarter, Pistons player Jalen Duren was driving to the basket when Hornets player Moussa Diabate fouled him with a little over seven minutes left in the quarter.
As Tobias Harris tried to hold Diabate back, Diabate swung at Duren. Hornets forward Miles Bridges then jumped in and threw a left-handed punch at Duren.
Duren retaliated, and Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart came off the bench to confront Bridges, putting him in a headlock while more punches were exchanged as players rushed into the action.
The fight came to an end, and order was restored in about 30 seconds thanks to the police and venue staff.
The Pistons went on to win the game 110-104, but Isaiah Stewart could face a lengthy suspension depending on how harshly the league decides to penalize him for his involvement in the fight.
I appreciate that Stewart stands up for his teammates, though I wish it didn’t mean he would miss games because of it.
