UConn is coming off just its second loss of the season and first in Big East play, when the Huskies lost on the road to No. 17 St. John’s on Friday. Silam Demary Jr. led the team with 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the 81-72 loss, but he also had a game-high nine turnovers. Alex Karaban added 17, Tarris Reed Jr. went for 12, and Braylon Mullins chipped in 11 as the Huskies moved to 22-2 and 12-1 in conference games.
Butler is 13-11 and 4-9 in the Big East and on a four-game losing streak, The Bulldogs last won in conference against Marquette nearly three weeks ago, 87-76. About two months ago Butler visited UConn and lost 79-60 as Solo Ball led the Huskies with a career-high 26 while Demary Jr. had 11 assists.
