Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to expand his business portfolio.
The Milwaukee Bucks star has entered a strategic partnership with Gopuff, joining the instant commerce platform as both a collaborator and shareholder. The announcement arrives shortly after Antetokounmpo became the first active professional basketball player to take an ownership stake in Kalshi.
“Gopuff has been part of my real routine, and I love using their service daily,” Antetokounmpo said in a press release. “Late nights after games, early mornings, and everything in between. When I need something fast, I know they’ve got me. I respect how they move. I’m proud to officially join the Gopuff team as a shareholder and we’re just getting started. Stay tuned.”
Under the partnership, Antetokounmpo will work with Gopuff on product development, distribution strategy, and original content. The company also plans to collaborate with him on exclusive offerings and fan-focused experiences.
Giannis Adds Another Off-Court Investment
The Gopuff deal follows Antetokounmpo’s minority equity investment in Kalshi. Alongside that stake, he will participate in live activations and marketing campaigns, Gaming Intelligence reports. Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour praised the partnership.
“Giannis is a legend,” Mansour said. “He’s exactly the type of long-term partner we want to align our growing brand with, and we couldn’t be happier he’s on board.”
Antetokounmpo echoed that enthusiasm. “I love the Kalshi markets and have been checking them often recently. I like to win. It’s clear to me Kalshi is going to be a winner and I’m excited to be getting involved.”
As an active NBA player, he cannot trade on markets tied to the league due to Kalshi’s compliance policies regarding insider activity. Some found this partnership to be a bit shady, especially after the wild saga that went down during this year’s trade deadline.
Through his investment vehicle, Ante Inc., Antetokounmpo has built a diverse portfolio. He holds ownership stakes in the Milwaukee Brewers and MLS club Nashville SC. He also recently acquired an interest in Chelsea FC Women, a dominant side in English women’s football.
Gopuff Expands Athlete Partnerships
Gopuff, founded in 2013 by Yakir Gola and Rafael Ilishayev, operates micro-fulfillment centers across the United States and United Kingdom. The platform offers more than 5,000 products with delivery times that can reach as fast as 15 minutes.
Rafael Ilishayev, co-CEO and co-founder, highlighted the alignment between the brand and the Bucks forward.
“Hearing Giannis talk about Gopuff as part of his everyday routine is exactly why this partnership means so much to us,” Ilishayev said. “We’re most excited to work with partners who don’t just stand behind the brand, but actively experience it and help evolve it through their ideas and feedback. Giannis brings that energy in a big way, and we’re excited to build alongside him to create truly one-of-a-kind experiences that raise the bar for our customers.”
The company recently collaborated with Tom Brady on the Super Monday Off Coalition and introduced GOAT Gummies. Now, it adds one of basketball’s most recognizable figures to its roster.
For Antetokounmpo, the move signals continued momentum beyond the court, pairing his global profile with companies positioned for growth.
