The Los Angeles Lakers will look to snap a two-game losing streak when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night.
It will be the last game before the All-Star break for both teams, and the Lakers will be aiming to head into the break with a bit of momentum.
Luka Doncic ruled out vs. Mavericks with left hamstring strain
Unfortunately for the Lakers, star guard Luka Doncic won’t be available for the game against his former franchise.Â
Doncic has been ruled out against Dallas due to a left hamstring strain. It will be the fourth consecutive game missed by Doncic due to the issue.
On the season, Doncic has appeared in 42 games for the Lakers and is averaging 32.8 points, 8.6 assists, 7.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals per performance.
Doncic is leading the league in points per game and was he recently named an All-Star for the sixth time in his career. He’s hoping to play in the All-Star game on Sunday night, but his status for the exhibition remains to be seen.Â
The matchup between L.A. and Dallas will be the third of the season between the two teams. The Lakers won both of the previous two meetings. The teams will also meet again in April.Â
