Commissioner Adam Silver announced Fox will replace Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo in this weekend’s All-Star Game.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox is heading to the All-Star Game for the second time in his career, joining Victor Wembanyama and other spurs players at the festivities. 

Fox was selected to participate by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver; he replaces Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is injured. Fox will join the USA Stripes team.

This is Fox’s first All-Star selection since the 2022-23 season. In his ninth NBA season, he is averaging 19.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.27 steals in 45 games.

Fox has helped lead San Antonio to a 38-16 record this season, good for second in the Western Conference leading into the All-Star break.  He joins Wembanyama (Team World) and Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson (USA Stripes head coach) in the NBA All-Star Game.

The Spurs will be well-represented at the All-Star break.

Rookie Carter Bryant will participate in the 2026 Slam Dunk Contest, while Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper will play in the Rising Stars Challenge.

In addition, Harper will join his father, Ron Harper Sr., and brother, Ron Harper Jr., in the Shooting Stars competition.
