The NBA All-Star Game provides an annual opportunity for fans to see the top players in the league competing against each other on a special stage.

Unfortunately, one of the biggest stars in the game will be sidelined for the exhibition this year.

Steph Curry won’t play in 2026 NBA All-Star Game due to runner’s knee

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry has been ruled out of the All-Star game due to right patellofemoral pain syndrome, which is also known as “runner’s knee — an injury is defined by pain and swelling around the kneecap area.

Curry has missed Golden State’s last five games due to the injury, though the Warriors are hoping that he’ll be able to return to game action after the All-Star break.

“It’s a matter of learning as I go what works rehab-wise,” Curry said recently of the injury. “Because it’s still painful. You have to try to get rid of all the inflammation and pain. It’s something we still have to monitor and injury-manage, but it’s something where, if I come back too early, it could flare up.”

On the season, Curry has appeared in 39 games for the Warriors and is averaging 27.2 points, 4.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per performance.
