With this move, Denver creates an open roster spot for the buyout market and gets out of the luxury tax.
Tyson, 25, has averaged 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds over 21 games this season. Over three seasons in Denver, he has appeared in a total of 90 games (4 starts).
The 6-foot-8 wing was selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder with the 37th overall pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA draft, then subsequently traded to the Nuggets.
