The Kings were dealt another tough blow in the midst of an already difficult season.
Sacramento’s top scorer Zach LaVine will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 NBA season after undergoing surgery on his right hand following the All-Star break, NBA on Prime’s Chris Haynes reported Friday, citing sources.

LaVine was averaging a team-high 19.2 points per game this season in 39 games while averaging just under 40-percent shooting from beyond the arc.
LaVine is in the fourth season of a five-year, $215 million contract, with the veteran guard holding a player option this offseason where he can opt in at $48.9 million and remain in Sacramento or decline and enter free agency.
At 12-44, the Kings hold the NBA’s worst record at the All-Star break, and Sacramento’s path to any late-season resurgence took a massive hit with LaVine’s reported absence.
