Stephen Curry has unveiled his final signature shoe, bringing a decade-long partnership with Under Armour to a close.

The Curry 13 launches in five colorways to mark the end of the Under Armour-Curry era. What began as a bold gamble in 2013 has evolved into a brand that reshaped Under Armour’s place in the global sneaker market. As Curry sits out All-Star Weekend due to injury and continues his recovery ahead of a Golden State Warriors playoff push, this final release stands as a symbolic moment for the veteran. It closes one chapter while still reinforcing the decade-long legacy he has built on and off the court.

The 12-time NBA All-Star is ending his 12-year partnership with Under Armour by centering the collaboration around his latest animated movie “GOAT”, which is now in theaters worldwide.

Curry’s final Under Armour shoe boasts five unique colorways. Three represent different characters from the movie (Mane, Will, and Lenny), combining personality, culture and storytelling on the court. The remaining two are fan favorites: The City Edition and the Blue Splash Party Edition. However, fans will have to wait until October 2026 for additional colorways and apparel collections.

Why the Partnership Came to an End

The face of the Warriors franchise officially ended the long-standing collaboration with Under Armour in November 2025. After many successful years, the nearly $3 billion brand decided to refocus its marketing strategy and shift back towards its core business priorities.

This sudden announcement left many wondering what comes next for Curry as he enters his final stretch of his career. And even though it feels strange for Dub Nation to see him wear Nike sneakers on court, the moment represents a new beginning rather than an ending.

The End of One Era, The Start of Another

As Curry grew, Under Armour grew. But right now, the Curry brand is officially independent.

His excellence on the court helped elevate the brand to new heights. Curry’s name alone became a huge revenue driver, spiking shoe sales and global visibility. But most importantly, he helped make Under Armour a legitimate player in basketball. Once known primary for football performance apparel, the brand has now shifted its identity and is recognized around the world, mostly in the basketball space, largely because of the influence of arguably the greatest shooter of all time.

The Curry 13 represents the end of an era, not only in NBA sneaker partnerships but in sports culture entirely. The four-time NBA champion can now redefine his legacy beyond basketball, stepping into a business journey that other greats have taken before him, such as LeBron James and Michael Jordan, as he prepares for the next chapter of his career.
