He joined the Raptors on February 5 after being shockingly cut by the LA Clippers in December 2025.

It emerged that Paul was no longer speaking to Clippers coach Tyronn Lue, 48.

Reports suggested that their relationship had fractured weeks before being cut.

He explained at the time that it was a decision that he accepted.

Paul made his final appearance for the Clippers in a 140-123 loss to the Miami Heat on December 2.

The guard did not make an appearance for the Raptors before being waived.

He had previously stated that the 2025-26 NBA season would be his last.

Paul is a 12-time NBA All-Star and is the second all-time assist and steal leader.

However, he never won an NBA Championship.

Now several networks are expected to line up for Paul’s signature following his retirement.

ESPN is considered to be the leading candidate after Paul worked for the network during the 2024 Eastern Conference Finals.

He has also appeared on several other ESPN shows.

Paul also has a strong relationship with outgoing Disney CEO Bob Iger, 75.

However, NBC and Amazon Prime Video are also expected to be interested in the NBA legend.
