PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland star Damian Lillard won the 3-point contest on All-Star Saturday, marking his third time winning the title and his first time back in a Trail Blazers uniform since rejoining the team.
Lillard took part in the 3-point contest despite sitting out this season while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon.
He is one of only three players to ever win the 3-point contest three times, joining Larry Bird and Craig Hodges, after Lillard took back-to-back titles home in 2023 and 2024.
He leads the Blazers franchise with 2,387 three-point shots made in his 11 seasons on the team, and he ranks fifth in NBA history with 2,804 throughout his career.
Lillard beat 2018 3-point contest champion Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, Charlotte’s Kon Knueppel, Philadelphia’s Tyrese Maxey, Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell, Denver’s Jamal Murray, Milwaukee’s Bobby Portis Jr. and Miami’s Norman Powell.
On Friday, Blazers Donovan Clingan and Yang Hansen played in the Rising Stars game.
Clingan came out hot with back-to-back buckets and then a three-pointer, then Yang took over with 10 points through the game.
