All-Star weekend continued on Saturday night with the skills competition events. The Philadelphia 76ers had a participant in the 3-point shootout in the form of Tyrese Maxey as he looked to take advantage of the opportunity.
Showing off his shooting stroke at Intuit Dome, Maxey had a tough outing as he only put up a score of 17. When considering he needed at least 23 to advance, he came up just a bit short.

Maxey’s Moneyball rack came on the final spot in the corner and he knocked down three of the five to improve his score in that end.
Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard earned his third 3-point championship as he outlasted Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker 29-27 in a thriller. Booker had a chance to force another tiebreaker round, but his final Moneyball fell just short that would have tied it. It was an entertaining start to what should be a good night in Los Angeles.
