WASHINGTON — The Washington Wizards have acquired Anthony Davis, the 10-time All-Star forward from the Dallas Mavericks, as part of an eight-player trade, according to multiple reports.

The trade marks the end of a short stint in Texas for the 32-year-old 6-foot-10 Davis. He joins Trae Young as another high-profile player acquired by the Wizards within the past month.

Four other players: D’Angelo Russell, Jaden Hardy and Dante Exum will also be added to Washington’s roster. In exchange, Dallas will get Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham and Marvin Bagley III, along with two first-round picks and three second-round selections.

Davis’ record in Dallas has been stellar, averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds per game this season, although the power forward has been sidelined with a hand injury since early January.

It’s the second high-profile trade involving Davis within a year. This time last year, Davis joined the Mavericks from the Los Angeles Lakers after he was traded for Luka Doncic in a historic deal between two reigning All-NBA teams.
