CLEVELAND, Ohio — There is a new No. 1 in Northeast Ohio after last week’s showdown between St. Edward and Lutheran East.
St. Edward steps into the top spot after its 62-58 win vs. Lutheran East, which drops one spot as they flip in the cleveland.com boys basketball Top 25.
The Eagles have won nine straight games. They also are the Northeast District’s top-ranked team in the OHSAA RPI ratings with a week to go before tournament seeding. Tournament draws were conducted Sunday for Divisions III through VII. Divisions I and II will happen this weekend.
With that in mind, here is how the area stacks up regardless of division in the seven-county area surrounding Cleveland:
