NBA All Star Weekend not only was a spectacle for the leagues best superstars, but it also became a war-zone for opinions on Kevin Durant after there were messages released on “X” from an account that many are ALLEGING is said to be Kevin Durant.
The account made mentions of current teammates Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith Jr, and former teammates James Harden, Steph Curry amongst others. Once again, this is not confirmed to be Durant, but the amount of eyes who have seen this tweet at least deserve to know some backstory as to if this could be Durant.

In today’s day-and-age of wild social media accounts, it’s important to preface that this likely is not even Durant’s account, but with this rumor getting picked up like a windstorm of over 100 million views on X, let’s show the comments that were allegedly KD’s.
I can’t trust Jabari to make a f***** shot or get a stop. He’s lowkey r*******”
I swear I miss Ben Simmons. Least that ***** would give me the ball.”
The suns are my team when we lose and books team when we win. (Booker and Vogel) two dictators…
I started holding steph accountable in film and ****** looked at me like this.
Ima turn the ball over with this s***** team. Idgaf. Your franchise player can’t shoot or defend. That’s a wayyyy bigger issue than my turnovers. Remember, these guys are your future.
Once again, these are not confirmed by any means to be Durant, but his own acknowledgement of using burner accounts in the past makes this interesting.
Durant admitted in 2019 that he had used a burner account to quietly interact with friends.
“I wasn’t used to that amount of attention, you know, from playing basketball. I wanted a place where I can talk to my friends without anybody just butting in my conversations or mixing my words or taking everything out of context because I enjoyed that place,”
Despite playing the first nine seasons of his career on one team, his recent history has been much more diverse than that. He has spent the past seven seasons on four different teams, from the Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns, and now Houston Rockets.
While Durant is on the Rockets, he only has the 2026-27 season locked in, and the 2027-28 season is a player option. While these rumors may be false about Durant, it remains to be seen if he will end up having success with this squad.
