Anthony Edwards is blushing.

The Minnesota Timberwolves star, 24, had a hilarious reaction to being listed as the seventh hottest NBA player of all time when asked his thoughts about it during an NBA All-Star Weekend press conference on Feb. 14.

“The NBA Research and Development Department ranked you the seventh hottest NBA player of all time. Do you agree with that data?” a reporter asked the shooting guard at the presser, which was held in Inglewood, Calif. this year.

“You said what!” Edwards interrupted, prompting the unidentified journalist to rephrase his question in front of the amused room of fellow media, who laughed at the interaction.

Just as the reporter went on to restate his question, Edward asked for clarification on one of the words he was being asked about.

“When you say ‘hot,’ what you mean? You talking about basketball?” the NBA star humbly questioned.

The reporter explained, “Uh, handsome, attractive…” he listed, before Edwards turned his head away from the mic in playful embarrassment and said, “Ohh man.”

“My old lady ain’t gonna like that!” Edwards responded. “I mean, I ain’t gonna lie. My mommy and daddy did a pretty good job,”

The “hot” list was curated by “The NBA Research and Development Department,” a basketball fan account that ranked 100 players in the league.

Edwards was ranked seventh in between Kevin Love and LeBron James, who were respectively listed in sixth and eighth place. Dwayne Wade landed at the top spot.

It was a successful All-Star Weekend for the Timberwolves star, who was named the Kia 2026 NBA All-Star MVP after scoring 32 points in 3 games for USA Stars as the team won the 2026 All-Star Game Championship over the USA Stripes at the Intuit Dome.

Upon being selected for the honor, Edwards held up the Kobe Bryant trophy that goes to each year’s most valuable All-Star. “It means a lot,” he said of the honor.

“I love Minnesota, and I know Minnesota loves me,” he continued. “I said I wasn’t going to put on a show for them, but I gave them a show.”
