On Tuesday night, just before Game 4 between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers, Charles Barkley made a statement, stating and supporting the fact that he believes the Oklahoma City Thunder will win the title, no matter what. It’s a fact that the Thunder have looked strong lately, especially after their exciting 128-126 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. That win gave them a 3-1 lead in the series, bringing them very close to reaching the Finals. Barkley clearly thinks no other team can stop the Thunder this season. He said:”This is the Oklahoma City invitational, Whoever comes out of the East, [OKC] will beat the hell out of them.”Further, he added:“The Thunder are gonna win the championship and anybody that wanna bet, come to my damn house because I can afford it.”During this season of the NBA, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been the strongest team. They finished with the best record in both the Western Conference and the entire league, winning 68 out of 82 games. Their stunning performance even continued during the playoffs, and that was led by their star player and MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. In the first round, they beat the Memphis Grizzlies in just five games. Then, they won Game 7 at home against the Denver Nuggets, ensuring the defending champions end up losing.
