Klutch Sports Group founder Rich Paul expressed his belief that Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards is the best player in the NBA over Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić.

“He is the best player,” Paul said Wednesday on his Game Over podcast with Max Kellerman (30:00 mark). “You can’t watch a game on any given night against anybody and look at that game and say, ‘Oh, that person is better than Anthony Edwards.'”

“I love Jokić, no question about it, but no,” he added.

It’s worth noting that Edwards was represented by Klutch Sports to open his NBA career before switching to Bill Duffy and WME during the 2023 offseason.

The 24-year-old has already established himself as one of the league’s top young stars, averaging a career-high 29.3 points to go along with 5.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game this season.

Edwards is also shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from behind the arc, earning his fourth consecutive All-Star nod for his efforts.

While his scoring prowess and defensive instincts are impressive, it’s difficult to definitively call him the NBA’s best player over Jokić.

The Nuggets star has earned three MVP awards over the past five seasons. He also finished No. 2 in MVP voting in both 2023 and 2025.

This year, Jokić is recording 28.7 points per game on 59.0/42.0/84.0 shooting splits. His averages of 12.3 rebounds and 10.7 assists per game both lead the league.

Edwards and Jokić are set to face off on March 1, as the Timberwolves will travel to face the Nuggets at Ball Arena.
