Bennedict Mathurin had a career night in helping the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Denver Nuggets in his debut with his new team.
The former Indiana Pacers wing tied his career high Thursday, Feb. 19, with 38 points off the bench as the Clippers edged the Nuggets 115-114. He added 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. His scoring outburst passed another former Pacer, Paul George, for points in a Clippers home debut.

Mathurin also had something to say to Denver’s Jamal Murray while lining up for a tying free throw with less than 1 second to go. Murray missed.
Mathurin, a fourth-year player, has averaged 22.0 points in four games with L.A. (27-28), which is 9th in the Western Conference standings.
The Pacers traded Mathurin earlier this month for big man Ivica Zubac, who has yet to play for Indiana.

If the Pacers get a pick from Nos. 1-4 or 10-30 in the 2026 draft lottery on May 10, the Pacers keep it and L.A. gets Indiana’s 2031 first-rounder. If the Pacers fall in the Nos. 5-9 range in the draft lottery, the Clippers get the 2026 pick.
