It’s been an eventful week for Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball, that’s for sure.
On Wednesday afternoon, Ball was involved in a car accident in Charlotte. He was traveling west when he slammed his 2022 GMC Hummer into a Kia sedan at the intersection of Trade Street and Tryon Street. Footage of this crash was later shared by WSOC-TV.

According to witnesses, Ball got out of his Hummer and entered a Lamborghini after the crash occurred. The medics at the scene said one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Despite being involved in an accident earlier this week, Ball suited up for Thursday’s game against the Houston Rockets. The All-Star guard had 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in a loss. Unsurprisingly, he faced questions about his car accident during his postgame media availability.

“Fortunately everybody is cool, so blessings,” Ball told reporters. “God is great.”
Ball was then asked about the other driver involved in this accident. He replied, “I seen her get straight out of the car.”
Will LaMelo get suspended?
Although the NBA hasn’t disciplined Ball at this time, fans want him to receive a lengthy suspension.
“You did it speak on it and stand on like a adult,” one fan commented.
“Suspend him for the season,” a second fan suggested.

“He’s so guilty,” another fan said. “NBA should suspend him.”
“Has the young man ever faced consequence?? Like ever,” a social media user asked.
As of this time, a police report for the crash has not been made available. Ball is on track to play this Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
