According to ESPN, the third year will be a team option. Separately, Josh Robbins of The Athletic adds that Vukcevic will not play in Friday’s game against the Pacers because of a bruise in his right hand.Washington, which is already suffering with multiple injuries to important players, is in a difficult stretch. If Vukcevic is unable to play, Anthony Gill, who finished the previous game with 11 points, six assists, and three blocks in 23 minutes, becomes a deep-league streaming option.

In 35 games this season, Vukcevic has averaged 7.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 47.8% field goal shooting.Vukcevic took Alex Sarr’s place as a backup after Washington traded Marvin Bagley III to the Dallas Mavericks during the trade deadline, and he has started the last two games in Sarr’s place.According to projections, Vukcevic will be Washington’s backup center going into the 2026–2027 season when Sarr and Anthony Davis are healthy and make up the team’s starting four.To cover their open two-way berth, the Wizards are acquiring F Leaky Black. Black, 26, has played for the Capital City Go-Go for the past two seasons.
