SAN ANTONIO —Police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked and injured a woman near the downtown area early Saturday.
Officers were called for a cutting in progress around 3 a.m. in the 300 block of North San Marcos.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, responding officers located a crime scene but no victim upon arrival.
Witnesses gave officers a description of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle. Officers located the suspect’s vehicle nearby who fled in a white KIA.
Upon returning to the crime scene, police found a 33-year-old female victim with various non life-threatening wounds.
The woman told police she had gotten into an argument with a man during which she asked him to leave leading up to the assault.
She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The 46-year-old suspect remains at large.
The investigation remains ongoing.
