Considering what’s ahead, the Thunder badly need to get this one. They will be without Gilgeous-Alexander for at least four more games. On top of Williams and Mitchell remaining out, that’s just way too much on-ball creation to overcome against most of the league. In comes the Nets. They’re blatantly tanking. Being on the second night of a back-to-back should boost OKC’s odds. To keep pace with the first seed, the Thunder have to get this gimme. And I think they will. Albeit it’ll likely be some straight-up ugly basketball.
