Former Nebraska basketball forward Juwan Gary announced he was working out with the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday. He made the announcement on social media.
Gary was a key piece of the Nebraska basketball program during his career in Lincoln. All told, he recorded 14.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game. He was an effective shooter, shooting 44.9% from the field. He averaged 30.5 minutes per game and started all 34 games. This was his most productive year for the Nebraska basketball program.
Now, he will look to make a strong impression in the Windy City, as he will showcase his talents to the Bulls.
Gary’s mid-range shooting ability, as well as his physical style of play, could be assets. He was able to get to the room with ease at times while with the Huskers. His style could be well-suited for the modern NBA. The 2025 NBA Draft will be held on June 25-26 in Brooklyn, NY.
