After a surprising short-handed win over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, the Warriors might be even more thin on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
In addition to Steph Curry (knee) and Kristaps Porziņģis (illness) remaining out, three additional players are listed as questionable for Golden State.
After missing Sunday’s game with lower back soreness, Draymond Green is on the injury report; veterans Al Horford (toe) and De’Anthony Melton (knee) are questionable as well with injury management.
Horford especially was a key performer Sunday, recording 22 points, six made 3-pointers and seven assists to earn himself an exclusive spot in the NBA history books.
The Warriors have a back-to-back this week, with Tuesday’s contest in New Orleans immediately followed by a matchup at the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. Both Melton and Horford have yet to play both ends of a back-to-back this season as they manage some lingering injuries dating back to last season.
Golden State often has opted to stagger which game each veteran plays in a back-to-back sequence, so it remains to be seen if both sit out Tuesday to rest for Wednesday — or if just one rests Tuesday in order to play Wednesday, and vice versa.
