Let’s quickly pivot to the Minnesota Timberwolves, because I feel like- Yeah you have been simmering, just making a fondue with your Minnesota Timberwolves take, and trying to figure out, “Okay, when do I kind of present this?
Do- have I perfected the recipe?”
And Minnesota has once again done the thing where they look awesome, and then they look what?
And I feel like that particular brand of basketball causes you to sit and put a blanket on, and look at a wall, and try and figure out what’s going on.
So where are you at with the Minnesota Timberwolves right now?
Because they could beat anyone in the world, they could lose to anyone in the world.

Anthony Edwards has been an insane person.
The Prince uniforms are awesome, and then they just get blown out and dunked on by Tyrese Maxey, and it’s like, well, what do we got?
Huh, I both love and hate that you know me as well as you do, uh- – over multiple years of doing this podcast, and Twitter, and, and meeting during summer league and all the things.
Because, dog, i- if I am to be completely honest, Steve, among the four teams that we’ve talked about in the West so far, like, the Wolves are the team that I want to believe in the most out of this- out of the q- out of those four.
Like, I think Denver has earned the pedigree, ’cause they have the best player in the world, and they are, what?

Two years removed from winning a championship.
So, like, they, they should have the top spot just by proxy, and they just pushed OKC to seven.
But, like, Minnesota is the team I want to believe in, because they have so much two-way talent, led by Anthony Edwards, a coach that I really appreciate.
They add Ayo Dosunmu to the bench, that should’ve been, like, the missing piece.
We now have a stronger second unit.
W- we have more of a wave to toss in when Ant isn’t out there or when Randle isn’t out there, ’cause our offense is kind of falling off a cliff when either one of those dudes go to the bench.

This should just be the team.
And, like, I don’t want to dismiss, one, the regular season is long, and all these teams go through some kind of malaise.
Some’s a week, some’s three weeks, but, like, every team hits a point where it’s like, “Huh, this is interesting.
Can’t wait for them to find it again” type beat.
So I don’t want to dismiss that.
I don’t want to dismiss e- everything that has kind of happened in that area this year, and how that could impact the team as well.
But, like, it’s every time I get ready to say, “All right, Minnesota, you are…” You know, thinking playoff context, “You are the biggest threat to OKC.

You can legitimately make, not just another conference finals run, you can make a legitimate finals run.”
Then they come out flat, and Tyrese Maxey’s dunking on everybody, and it’s just like, “Dog, what is this?”
Or if you wanna rewind, every time I’m like, “You know what?
Minnesota just isn’t serious enough for this.
There are so many good teams in the West.
OKC is this.
Like, maybe they, they just aren’t gonna have This year they’re gonna have some bigger answers, bigger, you know, bigger questions to answer in the off-season.”
Then they beat OKC, and it’s like, “Well, yeah, they’re missing people,” but it’s like, “They could just do this.”
