The Portland Trail Blazers will be without one of their top scorers as they jockey for position in the crowded Western Conference.

Wing Shaedon Sharpe is set to miss four-to-six weeks after suffering a stress reaction in his left fibula, the team announced Tuesday.

Sharpe has been out since suffering the injury on Feb. 6 against the Memphis Grizzlies. He has missed the team’s last six games.

The 22-year-old London, Ont., native has enjoyed a solid fourth season in the NBA, averaging 21.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 45.6 per cent from the field and 34 per cent from three-point range in 48 games.

His efforts have helped propel the Blazers to a 28-30 record, good for ninth in the West and six games above the Grizzlies for the final play-in spot.

Sharpe was drafted by Portland seventh overall in 2022 out of Kentucky.
