The Boston Celtics overcame a slow start and earned a lopsided victory over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night, 97-81.
Boston turned an 11-point deficit into a 16-point triumph, leading by as many as 28 in its dominant defensive performance. The C’s outscored the Suns 30-11 in the third quarter and turned it into a rout with a 50-11 run.
With Jaylen Brown (right knee contusion) out, Derrick White led the Celtics with 22 points. Sam Hauser and Neemias Queta added 16 and 14 points, respectively.
Boston has won nine of its last 10 games and is 3-0 on its West Coast road trip. Next up is a trip to Denver to take on the No. 4 seed Nuggets.
