Since 1948 and the advent of the AP Men’s College Basketball Poll, there have been 24 individual teams that have finished the regular season with an undefeated record.
Many of these teams did so in shorter seasons, before the modern era of college basketball began with the expansion of the NCAA Tournament in 1985.
Since the tournament expansion, five teams have entered their conference tournament with an undefeated record. That includes four teams since 2000.
