The Portland Trail Blazers are getting the Netflix treatment, but not for the glitz in the glam, instead the stories told will delve into scandals told by those who lived them.

Netflix announced Tuesday that it will bring a documentary to screens this spring titled “Untold: Jail Blazers” as part of its sports documentary series, which features other stories from athletes like Lamar Odom, Michael Barisone and Magnus Carlsen.

Starting March 31, these stories will be released weekly, providing first-person accounts of those at the heart of the action.

“‘Jail Blazers’ offers an unfiltered look at a team caught between brilliance and notoriety, examining how culture, race, and media shaped one of the most infamous chapters in NBA history,” according to the streaming service’s companion site Tudum.

Star players Rasheed Wallace, Damon Stoudamire and Bonzi Wells will share firsthand accounts alongside archival footage.

In the early 2000s, this era for the Blazers marked a series of off-court scandals, including reported drug possession, assault, domestic violence, dog fighting and more, which many remember bled onto the court, leading the league in technical fouls and players sometimes acting with a volatile demeanor.

Previous episodes in the series shared stories like internet personality Jake Paul’s transition to the professional boxing world to the 2013 catfishing scandal involving former football player Manti Te’o.

The “Jail Blazers” documentary feature comes just months after the arrest of head coach Chauncey Billups, who was placed on immediate leave last fall during a federal investigation into illegal sports betting and poker games.

A Basketball Hall of Famer, Billups pleaded not guilty to money laundering and wire fraud conspiracy charges in November 2025. He was one of multiple NBA coaches and players identified in connection to the schemes. Among those arrested were Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and former Cleveland Cavaliers player and coach Damon Jones.

The Portland episode of Netflix’s “Untold” series is scheduled to debut on Apr. 14.
