Last week, I thought my world was going to take a really hard downturn. My youngest, Helen, began to suffer from a cold graciously given to her by her mother and sister (I’ve somehow avoided it). Little did we know that we would end up having to take her to the hospital for eventually what was called “acute respiratory failure”. Seeing a child struggling to breathe really sends a parent into a frenzy.
She was admitted into the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) last Friday and was there until Tuesday. After a solid two days after that, she finally got to come home. Her older sister seems happy, but not really sure. Her twin brother on the other hand just smiled and started to coo gleefully. I have a feeling those two are going to cause me massive problems in the future. In the meantime, I’m glad to have all 3 children back home and fully functioning. Here are your flakes…
