NeNe Leakes made headlines after stepping out courtside at a Memphis Grizzlies game with Memphis attorney Arthur Horne III—and the moment didn’t leave much to interpretation.
Video from the outing captured by TMZ showed the two seated closely, talking throughout the game and leaning into each other. As they exited the arena, Horne pulled the Real Housewives icon in and kissed her, confirming the two were romantically involved.
Witnesses described them as “really touchy-feely” and “hugged up” during the game, signaling the appearance was more than a casual outing.
The footage circulated quickly, drawing attention as Leakes—whose personal life has long played out in public—appeared to be moving forward following past relationships.
She was previously married to Gregg Leakes, whom she divorced in 2011 before remarrying in 2013. They remained together until his death from colon cancer in September 2021.
Following his passing, she was linked to fashion entrepreneur Nyonisela Sioh, but that relationship later cooled.
However, attention shifted to the courtside appearance as details about Horne’s legal history resurfaced.
According to WREG, Horne, who practices criminal defense and personal injury law in Memphis, was convicted of misdemeanor assault tied to a 2017 incident involving a former girlfriend.
And per Action News 5, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail and an additional 29 days of probation, with contemporaneous reports suggesting he served the jail time on weekends.
The same case initially included allegations of rape and kidnapping. The woman involved accused Horne of physically assaulting and sexually attacking her inside his home.
Horne denied those claims, stating the accusations were fabricated due to personal conflict. In August, he was found not guilty of rape and kidnapping charges connected to the case, while the assault conviction remained.
His attorney previously stated that they were evaluating whether to appeal the sentencing.
Horne has also been involved in other high-profile legal matters, including work connected to the police shooting of Martavious Banks in Memphis.
Neither Leakes nor Horne publicly responded after the footage circulated and renewed attention to his record.
