On Thursday night, the Houston Rockets played the Orlando Magic (in Florida).
The Rockets won by a score of 113-108.
Kevin Durant finished with 40 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals while shooting 14/28 from the field and 2/10 from three-point range in 40 minutes of playing time.

In addition to his big night, Durant also made major NBA history by becoming just the sixth player to ever score 32,000 career points.

Durant was traded to the Rockets (via the Phoenix Suns) over the summer.
He came into the night with averages of 25.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists per contest while shooting 50.8% from the field and 40.9% from three-point range in 54 games.
At 37, Durant is still one of the best 15 players in the NBA.

Durant was the second pick in the 2007 NBA Draft out of Texas.
He has also spent time playing for the Brooklyn Nets, Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors (in addition to the Suns and Rockets).
The two-time NBA Champion has career averages of 27.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 50.2% from the field and 39.1% from three-point range.
As for the Rockets, they are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 37-21 record in 58 games.
They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak (and 17-14 at on the road).
Following the Magic, the Rockets will play their next game on Saturday afternoon when they visit Tyler Herro and the Miami Heat in Florida.
