This March, the Atlanta Hawks are hosting a truly one-of-a-kind event: Magic City Monday. And yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like! Keep scrolling to learn all about the Hawks’ Magic City collab, with a live performance by Atlanta’s own T.I., Magic City wings, and so much more.
Hold up. What’s going on?
On Monday, March 16th, the Atlanta Hawks are going to play the Orlando Magic at home, and we’re going all out with the Magic City theme for the night.
Not only are the Hawks offering a Magic City themed night, full of delicious food, highly curated Magic City vibes, and, of course, amazing basketball, but the team is also inviting fans to head to the arena early for a special live recording of the Hawks AF Podcast! The recording will feature a conversation about the five-part STARZ docuseries, ‘Magic City: An American Fantasy’ produced by Jami Gertz alongside GRAMMY® Award-winning music mogul and Atlanta native Jermaine Dupri.
During their recording, they’ll talk about the impact of Magic City on Atlanta music, sports and culture and feature Magic City founder Michael “Mr. Magic” Barney and legendary rapper and King of the South T.I. in a conversation hosted by comedian, actor, host, rapper and Atlanta’s own D.C. Young Fly.
T.I. said in a statement, “We doin’ this one for the city… Magic City”!
How is Magic City contributing?
First of all, no, the famous ATL strip club is not bringing dancers. (So settle down, y’all.)
However, Magic City Kitchen is set to serve up two versions of their ‘world famous’ lemon pepper wings:
Louwill Lemon Pepper BBQ
traditional Lemon Pepper
When you’re ready to grab your wings during the game, head to Sections 114, 120 and 211. Two of State Farm Arena’s all-inclusive premium experiences, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino’s Club and the Players Club, will have both sets of wings available as an option, while supplies last, of course.
But the delicious wings aren’t the only things Magic City is bringing! There will also be amazing merch you can check out! Beginning March 16th at the Hawks Shop in State Farm Arena and online at the Hawks’ shop. The merch includes a limited-edition Peachtree-themed hoodie with ‘MAGIC CITY’ written across the front in bold text, and the Hawks official logo and Peach logo on the sleeves.
Hawks Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Office,r Melissa Proctor, said in a statement,
From the food to the music and the exclusive merchandise, we are excited to team up with Magic City to create an authentic, True to Atlanta-inspired game experience.
