Flagg, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, has been out of action since suffering a left midfoot sprain on Feb. 10 against the Phoenix Suns. The former Duke star missed out on taking part in the Rising Stars Game during the All-Star Break due to the injury.
Prior to the setback, Flagg was looking to be running away with the Rookie of the Year award, averaging 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists despite the Mavericks’ struggles.Â
While the Mavericks were stuck in Indianapolis last week due to the snowstorm enveloping the northeast, Flagg continued rehabbing his foot in workouts, with head coach Jason Kidd stating the rookie was getting better.
The Mavericks have not released a timeline for Flagg’s return.Â
