Giannis Antetokounmpo’s season ended earlier than expected as the Milwaukee Bucks lost in the Eastern Conference First Round.
The Greek Freak is a consummate professional, so he’s probably already preparing for the 2025-26 regular season in October.
But what better way to keep in basketball shape than to compete in the popular Big3 league over the summer months?
Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen, but hip-hop superstar and Big3 co-founder Ice Cube has spoken about how Antetokounmpo would fare in the competition.

The Big3 league, just like the NBA, has evolved in recent seasons. Long-range shooting is now more prevalent than ever before.
While today’s game doesn’t play to Antetokounmpo’s strengths, the former Most Valuable Player can still excel on any basketball court on the planet.
“He would dominate,” Ice Cube explained when asked whether Antetokounmpo’s game would translate to the Big3.
“We still have a place for the big man in the Big 3. You can have your back to the basket if that’s what you want to do, or use your post moves. Or he could stretch the floor a little bit. He could dribble.
“I don’t think he’d have any problem dominating in the Big3, because he has it all anyway. If you can pass, dribble, shoot, and defend at a high level, you should be fine in the Big3.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks future remains undecided
Antetokounmpo may have played his last game in a Milwaukee Bucks uniform, or he could stay there for another decade. His future is totally up in the air.
He didn’t already have the pieces around him to compete for another NBA title, so with Damian Lillard’s Achilles injury, he has no chance to win next season.
And it seems unlikely that Antetokounmpo would be willing to wait until 2026-27 to play with Lillard, who may no longer be an All-Star caliber player.
Plus, the Bucks do not have any valuable trade assets to exchange for more help. This paves the way for the Greek Freak to leave, unless loyalty is his main focus.
The harsh reality for both team and player is that Antetokounmpo should be traded this offseasom, with the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, and Oklahoma City Thunder among the intriguing options.
