The ACC announced its pairings for the 2025-26 men’s basketball season on Wednesday afternoon.
As we already knew, Louisville’s home-and-home games against its primary partner (spouse) will come against Andy Enfield’s SMU Mustangs. As we had hoped, Louisville’s home-and-home games against its variable partner (side chick) will come against the Duke Blue Devils.
Duke remains the only ACC opponent that Louisville hasn’t beaten since the abrupt departure of Chris Mack.
The Cardinals will face every other team in the league once, with the exception of Florida State, who U of L will not play unless the teams square off in the ACC Tournament.
Here’s the complete opponent rundown:

Based on the rosters they’ve been able to build, I think it’s reasonable to expect both NC State and Virginia to be dramatically better this season under their new leadership. Getting those two, plus Duke, Kentucky and Memphis State at home should make for a much better home schedule than it looked like we might get as recently as a month ago.
This is going to be one hell of a winter.
